Pricing

Priced for the evidence, not your bytes.

Your backups land in storage you own and pay for directly. Walwarden charges a flat monthly fee for the scheduling, signing, and audit chain on top — no per-gigabyte surprise, and we never hold your data.

What you pay for

The fee covers proof. Storage stays yours.

  • Your storage is billed by your provider. Backups go to your own S3 bucket. You pay AWS for storage and egress directly — Walwarden never marks it up and never holds the bytes.
  • Restores run on your machine. Operator-run restores pull from your bucket through the CLI on a host you control. There is no Walwarden restore-compute charge.
  • The subscription buys the control plane. Scheduling, signed manifests, the append-only audit chain, and the evidence bundle your auditor can verify offline.

Why not the built-in backups?

Native backups live inside the provider you're backing up.

Supabase and Neon both ship capable backups — but they sit in the same trust boundary as your primary, and they don't hand your auditor an independent artifact. Walwarden is the off-provider copy and the proof, not a replacement for the database.

Evidence, not screenshotsEvery backup and restore signs a manifest your reviewer verifies offline — no account needed.

Honest about what ships

Today, every plan runs scheduled logical backups with operator-run restores and signed evidence, on Supabase and Neon. Finer-grained recovery and more providers are on the roadmap — we'll tell you when a capability is in your account, and we won't put it on your invoice before then.

Pricing for existing customers is grandfathered for 24 months from signup. Annual billing saves 15%. Already using Walwarden? Upgrade from your in-app billing settings so the plan attaches to your org.
